Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is treatment through inhalation.  Just envision yourself at your happiest moments.  More often that not, you can remember easily a particular scent that triggers that memory.  Whether it is grandmaÕs special chocolate chip cookies or the summer smell of freshly cut grass.  These aromas will trigger emotional responses within your body.  What a powerful way to create happiness!   Essential Oils are the lifeblood of the plant.   It protects that plant from any harmful organisms including molds, bacteria and those traumatic Òtrimmings.Ó Essential oils are some of the oldest and most powerful therapeutic agents known.  Most people today are unaware that they have an impressive, multi-millennium long history of use in healing and anointing throughout the ancient world.  Dozens of essential oils are cited repeatedly in Judeo-Christian religious texts and records show they were used to treat virtually every ailment known to man at that time.  Frankincense, myrrh, lotus, cedarwood and sandalwood oils were widely used in ancient Egyptian purification and embalming rituals.  Other oils, like cinnamon, clove and lemon, were highly valued as antiseptics hundreds of years before the development of todayÕs synthetic medicines.

In their pure state, essential oils are some of the most concentrated natural extracts known, exhibiting significant and immediate antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and hormone-balancing effects.

Essential oils have been used very successfully on many different kinds of animals from kittens to 2,000-pound draft horses.  Animals generally respond to essential oils in much the same way humans do.  Since they are very powerful healing agents and have some safety precautions – it is best to consult a professional prior to using them on you or your animal.

Most of my oil blends focus on assisting animals in performance/sports related issues and helping to create well being especially in our aging animals.  Here are some of the specific stock treatments I offer:
